Sunday Chit-Chat

This quote has definitely reminded me to slow down and focus on the good in my life. It’s been hectic and I’ve felt down about some things that are out of my control lately.

What am I doing today…

Reading: I have the second book of Game of Thrones sitting on the counter and I’ve yet had a chance to open it. It’s due in less that 2 weeks and at 600+ pages, I’m not sure I will be done in time.

Listening to: The wind rustling through the trees and the girls playing tag together and giggling when the dog decides to join them.

Watching: Nothing.

Cooking/Baking: I cook two meals a day and lunch is kind of a free-for-all event. We had steaks and veggies tonight.

Happy you accomplished this week: I completed a quilt and tonight I will finish up some cushion covers. Next up, another quilt- this time girly, and then a few more wallets.

Looking forward to next week: Jake’s birthday- even though he won’t be home. We will celebrate when he returns. šŸ™‚

Thankful for today: Happy healthy kids, the opportunity to stay home with them, a hard hard hardworking boyfriend, and a place to live.

Have a wonderful upcoming week!

Love the quote! šŸ™‚ I haven’t read the Game of Thrones books but heard they were good! Maybe once you get into it you won’t be able to put it down! šŸ˜‰

Have a great week!! Thanks for playing along!

Wisdom, girl, wisdom. I had trouble getting into the first Game of Thrones–even the TV show, because it is gruesomely violent and very sexual–sometimes both. But I must admit I kind of got hooked on the intrigue.
